Title's Analysis-Se7en

I have decided to look at titles of other professionally made and other media student's work on titles so that I can attain an idea of what I would like my titles to look like for the final edit.

I chose to analyse the titles in the thriller 'Se7en'

Se7en

The titles in Se7en are all in white and in a handwritten style font. The white titles appear on black screens or next to dark images. When these titles appear they are distorted and sometimes flip or reappear more focused. This adds to the mystery of the narrative as even the titles prove hard to read. The titles have a shadow effect on them before becoming more focused and the way that they transition on to the screen is something I would like to add to my opening sequence as I really like this effect as it creates confusion and suspense.
